Educational Qualification :
Bachelors degree in computer science (BTech/BCA/MCA) or equivalent work experience.

Essential Duties / Primary Responsibilities :
+ Creating and Executing Test cases.
+ Logs and Tracks issues with all details using available Bug Tracking Tools.
+ Investigate and create Defect Reports for any problems in software or data files, reported by customers or co-workers, through e-mail, telephone or fax.
+ Research, Analyze and Collect as much information as possible to duplicate the issue/ problem in Software or Data Files and in turn be able to explain it, in written or verbal communication.
+ Support defect management process by providing analysis and documentation
+ Ensures any code defects or issues are properly documented, escalated and monitored.
+ Communicate risks and issues identified during testing
+ Provide support to the Release Manager to ensure defects are resolved and closed appropriately
+ Analyze and Report on the priority / blocking issues.
+ Should be able to find valid root cause for all blocking issues.
+ Should be proactive on testing new releases from Programming.
+ Provide Regular status updates to QA Lead / Release manager / Project manager regarding testing progress and blocking issues.
+ Work with other team like programming team, Research team, and other stakeholders to provide enough information to solve the blocking issues/bugs.
Required Skills :
+ Good knowledge on the Software Development Life Cycle.
+ Experience in Test case creation and execution
+ Familiar with Basic Programming concepts that include but not limited to SQL
+ Strong Analytical and Research skills.
+ Ability to identify the root cause of software/configuration failures
+ Excellent attention to detail and great follow through
+ Ability to learn and master complex technical systems
+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
+ Top notch interpersonal skills
+ Should be able to quickly grasp and follow the process and apply the same
+ Basic knowledge about addressing and data structure.
+ Willing to learn new Applications.
+ Knowledge of multiple character encoding schemes (ASCII, iso-8859-1, UTF-8, UTF-16 etc.)
+ Should be able to think outside the box.
+ Should be good at Multitasking.
Desirable Duties :
Consult with customers if needed to verify bugs and/or gather more information on reported problems or new features being added.
Continue to develop knowledge of new testing skills.
Language Skills :
Fluent communication skills in English (both verbal and written) and customer service skills.
Proficiency in languages other than English and Indian languages would be a plus.
Reasoning Ability :
Troubleshooting, maintaining flow of thought while handling multiple tasks.
