Job Overview : Qualcomm’s Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) design center in Bangalore designs advanced cellular RFIC’s which enable 2G, GSM/Edge, CDMA, 3G and 4G-LTE/Advanced transceivers for the world wide cellular chipset market. We are looking for several RF/Analog IC design engineers, from entry-level to industry experienced, to join the existing RF design team. We welcome international applicants wishing to relocate to India and Qualcomm provides a highly cosmopolitan and challenging work environment with ample opportunities in innovation & patenting. Qualcomm also collaborates intensely with premium Indian Universities and Institutes in RF/Analog domain. Basic Qualifications: You will be expected to either have a MS focused on RF/Analog IC design or be a working professional that has gone through at least 1 complete product design cycle: Concept / Specification –> Architecture –> Schematics –> Layout –> Release –> Silicon test / Debug –> Final release You should have worked in one of the below items from 1-4. Items 5-7 is elective.
1. Receivers: LNA, Down conversion Mixers and Base band Filters, Auxiliary Receivers
2. Transmitters: Transmit Base-Band Filters, Up-conversion Mixers, Driver / Power Amplifiers
3. Synthesizers: VCO, PLL, Reference Clock Processing, DLL and Clock Multipliers, Clock & Data Recovery
4. Data Convertors: ADC, DAC
1. Power Management: Bandgap, LDO, Reference Current Generation.
2. RF Calibration & Implementation
3. Radio floor planning, Frequency planning & Packaging You should have strong RF Digital communication background & be familiar with modulation, noise & linearity concepts. You must have gone through Cadence ADE Design flow covering both design, simulation & strong familiarity with layout & floor planning. You should be eligible to work in India and should either already live in Bangalore or be able to relocate there.
+ In-depth understanding of RFIC circuit design, IC design tools and simulators, and IC layout design, techniques, and verification methodologies
+ Expertise in RF/Analog circuit design in sub-90nm CMOS.
+ Experience with front-end RF and Analog circuit blocks such as LNAs and Mixers, TX modulators and driver amplifiers, Frequency Synthesizers/Phase Lock Loops(PLLs), Continuous-Time Filters and ADC/DAC designs.
+ Knowledge of CDMA2000, 1X-EVDO, WCDMA, UMTS, and GSM/GPRS/EDGE chipsets is a plus.
+ Knowledge of Wireless Connectivity Technologies is a plus.
+ Must be a passionate self-starter and team player with experience in project leadership and multi-tasking. *Please note this position is located in Bangalore, India.
